***Official January 2025 Thread***

For those that are flying, Southwest released their prices for January flights yesterday.
Not liking the point buy cost. Seems high. Does anyone know if for Southwest, do those point cost per ticket fluctuate? I may hold out to see if they drop since we have plenty of time still.

Not sure. No direct flights for me out of Detroit so we always go Delta for that reason. Not willing to take chances with stops and snow storms in January.

We are going down in January and I was very unhappy with the fares from Milwaukee.

Thanks!

Some new refurbishments have been announced. These have been added to the first page.

Disney World has announced a lengthy room refurbishment project for Bay Lake Tower. According to the announcement, work will begin in September 2024 and be completed in September 2025. In addition to the closure and refurbishment of the Stormalong Bay pool area, Disney World has announced that there will be a room refurbishment for “some guest rooms” at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in early 2025. The work will begin in January 2025 and run through May 2025.

I now understand all the warnings around booking non-refundable rooms... my bad 😉

Hopefully we still get a private quiet room as per my room request for our honeymoon, and the inconveniences are still outweighed by the location on the monorail loop within walking distance of MK 🤞

For anyone who has historically traveled to WDW in January - what are the chances of Disney releasing a ticket discount? I'm assuming slim and most discounts that will be announced will be for packages or rooms only?

Basically - debating buying our tickets through Undercover Tourist now while they're doing their "Adult Tickets at Child Prices" sale (Through the end of May it seems), or, waiting to see if a better deal becomes available.

The prices are still pretty high compared to the past (We usually buy park hoppers) which is why I'm hesitant. We'll have to buy our tickets eventually (After all, we only have 254 days to go LOL) just debating when would be the best time in terms of $.

This is good info. I had no idea they were running this special. I am going off memory since now you can't see the original child/adult prices, but aren't the normal adult prices just slightly more than this (like a few bucks at most)? Doest seem like much of a discount over normal prices from what I recall.

I am trying to decide if I want to jump in and buy right now as well.

There’s a UK site that Americans can buy and use tickets from and they include hoppers, water parks, memory maker and little discount cards for Orlando restaurants for the same price or cheaper than the cheapest tickets here. I got 14 day tickets with all of the above (hoppers, water parks, memory maker etc.) for the same price as 7 day non park hoppers. They also sell a 7 day option I believe. It’s a great deal and you can pay in installments or all at once, when you pay in full they email you the tickets and they link to your MDE easily. Not sure if I can post their name here but it’s attractiontickets.com. And, again, Americans can buy and use them without incident.
