That's how I read it. 50 Base miles maximum per 24 hour period = 2000AM per 24 hour period.
The 20Xs bonus just posted. I did get the AMs for doing Reward Your Opinion which is a happy bonus!
So sorry to hear this. Hope all goes well and if it’s okay, I’ll say a prayer for a quick recovery. Don’t forget to take care of yourself. We can’t be of help to others if we ignore ourselves. And just like that…the vacay is over. We had a really nice week. Weather was good for the first 3 days, then not so good for 3 days and the last day was better but not as nice as the first 3 days. The not so nice days were just overcast and windy but still nice and warm. The beach was red flag those days and boy was the water rough.
Met a lady in the airport that broke bones while on vacay. Listened to her story about dealing with ambulance, hospital and doctors. It was very interesting. I know think that was some how foreshadowing of the rest of my day. As soon as we got back to YYZ I turn my phone back on, text DD telling her we have arrived. She tells me that my mom asked her to ask me to call as soon as I got home. Once on the road home I called. She tells me that she’s had a ‘really bad day’, I ask what she means. She’s been in extreme pain all day and thinks she should go to emerg. I’m rolling my eyes thinking oh boy. She knew my DD had been home all day (they had talked) and said nothing…DD could have taken her earlier. Anyway, she wasn’t sure she wanted to go and I just said no, I’ll be home in a half hour, need to get some winter clothes on and then we were going. For her to even contemplate going says it worse than she’s saying…her worst nightmare is the hosp. That turned in to 5.5 hours in emerg, tests, then an admission. They told her she needs surgery to which said immediately said no. She refused the admission at first too but I said no, you’re staying and then I had to stay all night or she would have left. Once they gave her pain meds I went home and got her some things…this was about 2am. I went back and sat in a chair all night…didn’t even attempt to nap until after 5am and that was basically a no go. Youngest DD came at 1:30pm so I could go home and sleep. I went back later with my oldest and stayed until 9pm. Taking shifts today too. This morning I finally managed to get her onboard with just getting this all behind her by having the surgery now rather than go home and see what happens, then going through all this again later which the surgeon said is highly likely. Surgery will be some time tomorrow and then she will go home the day after. Now to arrange some help at home for a couple days. She shouldn’t actually need anything just someone in the house.
So how was your weekend…..
Oh it’s ok to ask. They are removing her gallbladder. There has never been any problem there before. However, she has a blood cancer that requires no treatment and our GP said people live with it for many years (7-10) before anything even happens. My mom has basically been dying tomorrow since she was told that 3 years ago. She has refused to have the biopsy to confirm exactly what she has…the specialist told her there is definitely something there but it could be different and could be treatable. She still refuses to have a 10 minute procedure done under a local, in his office. FOOLISH!!! So when this pain started she thought for sure this was ‘it’. The things that happened….she handed me a bunch of legal envelopes etc, etc. Anyway, it is nothing more than an inflamed gallbladder with some stones. As we have talked yesterday and today I think what she thought was back pain for the last year and has been taking Tylenol for daily…has been the gallbladder.@dancin Disney style Yikes! That all sounds very overwhelming. If you don't mind me asking, what did she have surgery for? Something sudden or reoccurring?
…I’m going to stay home tomorrow. I need to attempt my regular routine for a Monday. I need to prepare for work this week…I have to go, it’s going to very busy for me after being away. For me, I’m super regimented and when I don’t stick to my schedule it literally ruins me mentally. I probably have mild OCD.So sorry to hear this. Hope all goes well and if it’s okay, I’ll say a prayer for a quick recovery. Don’t forget to take care of yourself. We can’t be of help to others if we ignore ourselves.
Sending hugs and good thoughts.
Thanks...yes its laparoscopy. I literally can not say that word...maybe can't even spell it either. This morning someone from the surgery team came in and said that they probably won't get to her until tonight or even tomorrow. Then she went on to say...I can still change my mind. My reply was...they always speak in worst case, it will probably be today and maybe even earlier than you think.Healing thoughts for your mother. As someone who has had gallbladder surgery she should make a full recovery and be able to go back to her regular routines after healing. I'm hoping they will be able to do it laparoscopicaly. Recovery is so much quicker.
DANG, this makes me wish I had gone ahead and snatched up a Max Pass for both Shell and Metro! I highlighted the fact that, yes, it can be combined so make sure to wait until the MP is valid if you're able to do so. That should be a nice boost to your haul.No telling if this will get *poofed*
