Disney OPEN to Sunrail Station (Not a Guarantee of Execution)

A train to the TTC would be delightful, but would Disney let a third party run track that deep into extremely complicated and valuable real estate?

Disney Springs lets them skirt right on the edge of property. It'd be nice if this hypothetical train station picked up a bus depot to parks and hotels. Dare I dream of a skyliner line?

I don't think the pandemic killed ME... it ended almost 2 years after the pandemic started.
Disney was on an all-fired program to cut freebies and increase discretionary spend at that time. Genie+ and LL+ launched, extended hours reduced and changed to deluxe only, hard ticket late hours started, etc.
But the bag service ended with the pandemic.

It's come a long way since year one. Anyone remember the Rabbit transit? $1 anywhere into town or the resort.
Something like this is long overdue.

Would certainly bring attention to SSR. Walking distance to the train station? That’s a big perk.
No way would any potential train station be within walking distance to SSR.
I hate to do armchair imagineering here, but why is the station poised for Disney Springs as opposed to the Transportation & Ticket Center?!

Honestly, the station should be at the TTC, and connect, not only to the parks and hotels, but also to Amtrak and Brightline, thus making the TTC not only an entry point into the Magic Kingdom, but also a multi-modal hub.
That's a serious deviation from its proposed route along I-4. It would need major Right of way grants on Disney and other property. Plus the route is affected by existing developments that aren't really compatible with trains running through the area regularly.

I'd think so, given the ROW would be grade separated. I'd also envision a SunRail station serving Celebration too, but maybe that in itself is a bit far fetched.

I'd suggest that people take a look at the geography of the area. Go to Google Maps or your preferred site and look at where I-4 near Disney Springs is in relation to the TTC. Draw a relatively straight line between the two and see what obstacles/developments are in the way. I don't believe this would be practical at all.

WDW has a World Drive Entrance & Flamingo Crossings Entrance and another at this end of town just past Disney Springs kinda driving by the Drury , etc.
There used to be a lot of restaurants ,etc, they were torn down to creat a better traffic interchange .McDonalds is gone and my fave Jamba Juice ( Altho they are in Gaylord Hotel lobby! ) …
If they went to TTC that would be inthe heart of Disney property instead of the outskirts of property.
That is just my guess. I have no actual facts but I do drive home that way sometime from Universal Studios instead of the Interstate !
